What is the guest capacity?
The venue can comfortably seat up to 130 guests for dinner, with capacity for 160 in total for the evening.
Is Woolas Barn licensed for civil ceremonies?
It is, you can hold a civil ceremony in our area named The Stables
We would like a church ceremony, is there a church nearby?
All Saints Church is just down the road from us, in the village of Appleton Roebuck.
Are we able to use a caterer of our choice?
Of course, we want you to have full control of your day.
Are we able to supply our own alcohol?
We have a number of drinks package options so give us a call for more details.
Are we able to make special drink requests?
Yes, we’re happy to work with you and we’ll try to accommodate any requests.
Are fireworks or Chinese lanterns allowed?
Unfortunately not. The venue is within the grounds of a working farm and these would endanger our livestock.
Are we allowed confetti?
As this is a working farm, we allow only natural, biodegradable confetti (dried rose petals, etc) within the grounds.
Where can I have my photos taken?
Is there any accommodation in the area?
Yes, there are a selection of local B&Bs and hotels. Please contact us for more information.
Do you have floor plans?
Yes we do, if you get in touch with us we will be able to send these across to you.
What time can we party until?
We kindly request all events to finish by midnight.
Is there wheelchair access?
Yes, there is wheelchair access to the ground floor areas. However, please note that the courtyard is gravel which can be difficult for some wheelchair users.
What isn’t included in the price?
Because we don’t want to tie you down into having the same wedding as everyone else at the venue, we allow you to arrange your own; caterers, indoor and outdoor chairs and tables, crockery, cutlery, glassware, table linen, entertainment and additional décor. But don’t worry… go to our friends of Woolas Barn page and see all our recommended suppliers who will be more than happy to help you.
Do we need to be around the day after the wedding for clearing up?
No, we are here to make sure you are free to enjoy your big day so we will roll up our sleeves and deal with the aftermath.
